This is an extremely ambitious song that feels like an opera, taking you through the history of Earth and its creatures (mainly its birds). If that doesn’t make you want to listen to it, then I can’t help you.

Beginning of December! How are we holding up? This band was in my weekly recommendations on Spotify, and despite not really liking the lyrics on any of their songs, I just couldn’t stop listening. The truth is, I really liked it, and I couldn’t figure out why at first. Sorry for the teasing, but let me tell you why this just works.

I know it seems like we just jumped in time; it's suddenly week 47. I'll try to catch up on these lost weeks, pinky promise. Anyway, Haley Blais is an indie Canadian singer with an incredibly powerful voice. And it really comes on strong in this particular song.

Edison Gómez-Krauss is a musician who composes and records his synthpop tracks live on Twitch to show that, with a computer, anyone can make music. Bide is kind of a modern-day Frankly, Mr.Shankly by The Smiths. I feel like neither party would like this comparison, but hey, it’s my website.

I’m behind on my recommendations. Sorry, September Mayhem, you know the drill… Since it’s still back to school season, I’m feeling like revisiting some high-school “misfits” feelings, and luckily, Life Tears (the strange) by Razorhouse is just perfect for that. It’s not very subtle, but it sure is effective.
