The debut album of TR/ST is a good summer album, you can practically smell the dancefloor sweat emanating from these synthetizers. This song in particular is an electronic nihilistic anthem and it sure has a slippery edge to it. Sorry for the bad words.

Fever the Ghost’s first (and only) full-length album from 2015 is just full of psych-pop gems and has a distinct haunting quality to it that is hard to find elsewhere. This song in particular feels like a ride in a ghost train, believe me, it starts with a weird harpsichord melody.

Quite a fun concept for this week because this song is actuallly a mash up, a medley if you will, of two songs. Both songs (great on their own) “Ghost” and “Summer” are from Marsheaux, a very cool electro synth-pop duo drawing inspiration from 80’s new wave.

It could also play in the background of an intense introspection scene in a movie with the main character on the beach or something…See, it’s still summer !

Get Well Soon is a band (well not really a band, it’s a solo project by Konstantin Gropper but the live musicians are great) which is comforting, edgy and playful at the same time. This is a song from their first album, it’s scary and sexy and the music video is like a mini movie, what more could you possibly want ?

This week I went back to my trustworthy italian indie pop playlist and I wanted to share with you the song that made me listen to this genre in the first place. It’s great, if you like bands like White Lies, Editors or Interpol you’ll probably like Siberia.

Just what pop should be to me, bright pink and shimmering but you can’t help but wonder what’s up with the flies flying in circles above it. This album is mostly without vocals except for the closing track, isn’t that sweet ?

Where I live it’s still not very sunny outside but I listen to sunny songs anyway. Cullen Omori is a very cool looking indie musician, look him up, he’s got the indie haircut.
